Review: Heart of the Galante Legacy by Kris Holbeck

Heart of the Galante Legacy by Kris Holbeck

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars for a quick and steamy read.
This Galante family box set is a delightful collection, with each tale offering unexpected twists in the pursuit of love. While the stories are quick and engaging, the rapid development of characters’ romantic arcs feels a bit unrealistic, likely due to the brevity of each book. Reading it as a box set is recommended, as the progression of one story seamlessly propels into the next. It is written as one long story with over a dozen points of view, some very short and retelling the same interactions just with a different perspective. Each story has its merits, with Lukas and Stephanie’s being a standout for its passion, though Stephanie’s lingering mistrust adds complexity. Karl and Tyler’s tale is enjoyable, although Tyler’s perspective could have been more pronounced. Magnus and Nic’s story stands out as a favorite due to its well-developed mutual love. Anton and Hannah’s narrative feels a bit awkward and lacks a solid foundation, especially concerning Anton’s past choices. Overall, the individual stories are interesting and fun, contributing to an entertaining reading experience.
