In 1829, Victor Hugo published “The Last Day of a Condemned Man”, featuring a side character who stole bread to feed his sister’s family. This character served as the inspiration for the hero of Hugo’s 1862 work, “Les Misérables”.
I think the reason I tend to write series’ is because I like my side characters so much! I love that Hugo expanded on a side character and I like to believe Valjean was a character who stuck with him over the years until Les Misérables was born.
The main characters in Crescent Cove Book Two are a couple of my favorites so far. Ansel is chaotic good and Aggy is tragically misunderstood. I am glad to give them their own story.
