Katherine Rawson began writing her first full-length novel while working on her undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas. Writing has always been a passionate hobby and a cathartic way to get through life’s ups and downs.
Born in upstate New York, Katherine spent her formative years in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She has also called Texas, New England, and the Pacific Northwest home. Katherine now resides in the highlands of West Virginia with her husband, daughter, and beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
“Thanks to the human heart by which we live,
Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and fears,
To me the meanest flower that blows can give
Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.”
— William Wordsworth, Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood
“I am only resolved to act in that manner, which will, in my own opinion, constitute my happiness, without reference to you, or to any person so wholly unconnected with me.”
― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
“Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.”
— Mark Twain
